Wellington Sunday XI 225-4 Lynton and Lynmouth 81
Wellington Sunday XI completed the Club’s 2017 season with a trip to the Valley of the Rocks to take on Lynton and Lynmouth last weekend and came away from a pleasant day at this most picturesque venue with a 144 run win over the side that plays in the North Devon Sunday League’s third tier. Choosing to bat first saw Wellington open up with Trevor Brooks and Aks Latifi and they put on one hundred runs for the opening wicket

Wellington Sunday XI have secured third place in Division A of the Taunton and District Sunday League for 2017 having seen their last game of the season washed out at Bridgwater last weekend. Both sides take twelve points from the game and this sees WEPL Premier One club Bridgwater retain the runners up spot and last season’s winners Wellington settle in mid table. Wellington Sunday XI saw their home Taunton and District Sunday League Division A game with fellow WEPL Somerset Division club North Petherton washed away after 29.2 overs last weekend with the visitors well placed on 187-6 with just over ten overs to go. Wellington Sunday XI’s good recent form in Division A of the Taunton and District Sunday League continued when they edged a high scoring game at West Somerset League club Bagborough last weekend when Arron Campbell’s side won by 18 runs and so collected 25 points to rise to second in the five team table with two to play.
