Defeat at Larkhall
Monday, September 28th, 2009The home side went ahead after 29 minutes with a well-taken goal by Luke Bryan.
And they increased their lead three minutes later as Bryan’s low cross was turned home by Luke Scott.
Things got worse for Wellington early in the second half as they conceded a penalty and Jamie Mines scored from the spot.
And although skipper Simon Ingram pulled a goal back for Wellington – also from the penalty spot – they had left themselves too big a mountain to climb.
Wellington are home to Dawlish in the league this Wednesday (7.30) and entertain Barnstaple in the first round on the FA Carlsberg Vase on Saturday (3.00).
