Wellington & District Sports Federation

The Executive next meet at The Cottage Inn, Champford Lane, Wellington from 7.30pm on Tuesday 28th May.

The Federation’s Executive will be meeting at The Cottage Inn, Champford Lane, Wellington on Tuesday 30th April from 7.30pm; the usual briefing notes will be issued to all Club Reps after this meeting.

Out next full meeting is on Wednesday 26th June from 8.00pm at Wellington Football Club.

Minutes from last Thursday’s meeting will be issued by the end of the weekend.

There will be a meeting of the Federation’s Executive on Tuesday 2nd April from 7.30pm at The Cottage Inn; a set of briefing notes will be issued as is the accepted way after such meetings to all Federation Representatives.

The Federation Executive is to ask the member Clubs to consider the name that should be applied to Wellington Playing Field Pavilion once it is open for business.

Club representatives will see this matter will be reflected in the set of Briefing Notes they will be receiving soon and they are asked to take this matter to their Management Committees for debate and to bring the detail of these discussions to the full Federation meeting on Thursday 11th April.

Federation Meeting – Thursday 11th April at Wellington Bowling Club, Coram’s Lane, Wellington at 7.30pm

Agendas to be issued as appropriate.

A generous grant of £500 has been made to WDSF by Somerset County Council via Cllr Andy Govier who is a member of the Council and a Patron of Federation.

This grant will be used to deliver a memorable official opening ceremony to Wellington Playing Field Pavilion later this year.

All dates and venues to be confirmed in writing as is appropriate.

There is a full meeting of Federation at Wellington RFC on Thursday 21st February from 7.30pm – meeting agendas have been issued this evening and it is hoped all member Clubs can be represented on the evening.

Those Clubs who are yet to pay their membership subscription for 2013 of £20.00 are asked to bring this fee to the meeting.

The Clubs who are affected by the current and impending developments related to sporting venues and facilities in Wellington are invited to meet at Wellington Squash Club on Tuesday 19th February at 7.30pm to debate the Federation Executive’s ideas for who plays what and where.
