WELLINGTON have arranged five pre-season friendlies – all away from home.

They are: Sat, July 12, Witheridge; Sat, July 19, Elmore; Sat, July 26, Clyst Rovers; Tues, July 29, Seaton Town; Sat Aug 2, Ottery St Mary.

Wellington are looking to arrange an away friendly for either July 22 or July 24.

WELLINGTON have a tie to savour in the FA Vase.

They have been drawn away to fellow Toolstation Premier outfit Ilfracombe Town in the first qualifying round on September 6.

The North Devon club’s assistant manager is former Wellington boss Dave Sheehan while their leading scorer for the past two seasons has been ex-Tangerines striker Leon Taswell.

The tie’s winners are away to Tavistock in the second qualifying round on September 20.

WELLINGTON have signed talented striker Aaron Deeks.

The youngster started last season with Bridgwater Town but his first team opportunities were limited at the Southern league club and he moved to Minehead.

He impressed Wellington boss Leigh Robinson when the sides met at the end of last season and has attended training with Robinson’s assistant Steve Perkins, who was manager of Minehead last season.

Deeks signed on officially after training last night.

Wellington have already signed highly-rated utility players Marcus Vaughan while all of last season’s squad have put pen to paper with the exception of retired striker Nick Woon.
