WCC Club Chairman’s XI 158-7 WCC Past Players Association XI 124-6

Under glorious blue skies the first ever full match undertaken by the Club’s Past Players Association was played against a Club Chairman’s XI last Thursday evening and it proved to be a great success all round with the Chairman’s side winning by 34 runs in this eighteen overs per side match. Past Players Association AGM and Lunch 2016 – Formal Report

Wellington Cricket Club’s Past Players Association held its fifth Annual General Meeting and Lunch for Members and Guests last Saturday when the Club’s 1st XI hosted Staplegrove CC and good weather and attendance made for another excellent event writes Association Member David Derrick. PPA Officers and Club Meeting – Saturday 5th March

The Club’s Past Players Association has a meeting of its Officers and the Club on Saturday 5th March when it will look to finalise its schedule of events for 2016. Already arranged are the AGM and Lunch event (Saturday 28th May at WCC from noon) and Evening Barbecue event (Saturday 23rd July from 6.00pm). A Day Out at Somerset CCC will be held on Sunday 10th July at the first day of the County Championship Division One match with Middlesex CCC

Sponsors Lunch and PPA Barbecue

A great day of action on the field of play was complemented by two excellent social events at The Long Hop this weekend. Past Players Association – Last Two Events for 2015

The Club’s Past Players Association has two events left for the 2015 season; on Saturday 8th August it will be hosting an evening barbecue at WCC to which all are invited to attend (serving food from around 5.30pm) and on Saturday 22nd August it will be attending the 1st XI’s WEPL Somerset Division game at Staplegrove which commences at 12.30pm. The name of the game is just turn up and enjoy these two events!!
