WCC secures Club Mark Re-Accreditation

Wellington Cricket Club is delighted to be able to announce that it has secured Club Mark Re-Accreditation from the England and Wales Cricket Board via Somerset Cricket Board for a second time following achieving the award initially in 2011 and then again in 2014 when a first re-accreditation cycle was undertaken… A lot of hard work has gone into achieving this award which confirms that the Club is and continues to be a place where all can enjoy and participate

Club Mark 2018

Somerset Cricket Board has advised that our Club Mark Re-Accreditation has been signed off and we have this award in place for another three years. We have some opportunities for process improvement which will make matters even better for all… For now thanks go to Simon Spalding, Ivor Mitchell and David Derrick for their work ref the Evidence Folder and to Mark Salter, Tom Knell, Andy Weymouth and Clare Hutchings for their efforts with the Site Visit and practical aspects…

Youth Section Registration Evening – Friday 20th April

From the Club’s Youth Committee Just a reminder that Youth Registration night is to be held this coming Friday from 6.00 – 7.30pm at Wellington Cricket Club Pavilion. It is a session to complete necessary forms and pay a registration fee for your child to train/play within the youth section of the club. The fee will be £40. Cricket Force 2018 – Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th April

We are holding our Cricket Force Weekend for 2018 over the weekend of 7/8 April; we start from 10.00am on the Saturday… Work to do will include tidying up the net area to get it free of excess grass and to tie the netting back and to trim the foliage by the area known as ‘Critic’s Corner’… Please bring appropriate tools with you for such tasks if you have access to them… There will be other work to do too,
