Bagborough Midweek XI 189-4 Wellington Midweek XI 85-7

Wellington Midweek XI took to the road for the first of five social T20 games last Thursday evening when they made a visit to West Somerset League club Bagborough under the captaincy of Tyler Fyfe. Taunton 3rd XI 161 Wellington 3rd XI 165-2

Wellington 3rd XI, playing in the Somerset League’s Division Seven Red in 2021, made it a hat-trick of wins over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend when they saw off Taunton 3rd XI at Sampford Arundel CC by eight wickets. Another toss was won and another choice was made to bowl first by Richard Henwood and this decision was rewarded when Tyler Fyfe (3-19 in five overs) removed F.Jewell LBW with the score on three. Taunton St Andrews 4th XI 106 Wellington 2nd XI 107-4

It was a full points win for Wellington 2nd XI in Division Six South of the Somerset League at home over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend as Alex Troake’s team took 35 points from their six wicket win over Taunton St Andrews 4th XI. Winning the toss saw Troake ask the visitors to take first knock and they saw Contreras and Rew add a solid 25 runs for the opening wicket with Lee and Jake Nichol not giving much

Bridgwater 2nd XI 157 Wellington 158-6

Wellington made a fantastic start to their season in the West of England Premier League’s Somerset Division over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend with this well measured four wicket success over Bridgwater’s 2nd XI on the road as they crossed the line for 19 points with five overs left. With COVID19 protocols still needing to be observed the host Club had all that was required in place and a safe environment was on offer for the game to occur.
