Wellington Midweek XI took to the road for the first of five social T20 games last Thursday evening when they made a visit to West Somerset League club Bagborough under the captaincy of Tyler Fyfe.

Bagborough chose to bat first and were one down when Cameron Sentance took a caught and bowled chance and from then on the home side reacted well as they hit long and hard in the evening sunshine.

Wickets also came the way of Oli Beale, Connor Wickenden and Jack Beal by the time Wellington’s time in the field had ended.

Alex Sparks played his first innings of the season and made 35 with four crunching sixes and there were two lusty blows for six from Cameron Sentance as he made 16.

A fine 13no was compiled by twelve year old George Charles-Price as the game ended in a most social manner.
