Wellington Sunday XI got their 2019 season underway with this friendly match with West Somerset League Division One Stogumber at their pleasant facility last weekend and it was an away win that was recorded. Wellington 3rd XI comprehensively beat bottom side Huish and Langport 2nd XI in the Somerset League’s Division Seven South last weekend and are sixth in the table as a result. Wellington batted first and saw Simon Burrough and David Derrick add 11 to the board, but at 25-2 both were back in the hutch by then. Wellington 2nd XI are in sixth place in Division Five of the Somerset League after this last ball tie with Weston Super Mare 3rd XI at home on Saturday when the teams each collected 25 points. WSM opted to bat on winning the toss and Bemand with 53 and Austin with 44 got them to a position where they were 133-4 when Austin was dismissed, but this was the cue for a collapse as Rob Moysey took 6-33 all told
