The final Wellington Pre-Season XI for 2021 made a visit to Wembdon CC last Sunday to take on the home Club’s 5th string who play in the West Somerset League and came away with a fine nine wicket win under Alex Troake’s captaincy. Wellington’s penultimate pre-season game of 2021 saw the Red and Blacks take a trip to fellow WEPL Somerset Division side Minehead last Saturday and had a good game with the home side in plenty of sunshine. A Wellington pre-season side travelled to Somerset League Division Two club Lympsham and Belvedere last Sunday and were involved in a great tussle with the home side who edged out the Red and Blacks by five runs in the last over.
