WCC Dinner and Awards Presentation Evening 2018

Hello All members This years Club Dinner & Awards evening has been brought forward and will be held on Saturday 22nd September at The Cleve Hotel in Wellington arriving at 6.30pm for a meal, music and dancing. The committee are doing their best to make this a successful and enjoyable evening for everyone and would like all who are involved with our club to support and attend this formal event where we can all recognise the achievements of our club,

Although suffering another Somerset League Division Four defeat Wellington 2nd XI can take a lot of pride in their attempt to chase down the 246 needed to win at home to Crewkerne last weekend. Wellington 2nd XI are now some 75 points adrift of last weekend’s opponents in Division Four of the Somerset League as they fell to a tenth defeat of the season in a game that they really had to win. Despite putting up their best show of the season with the bat Wellington 2nd XI are still seeking a first win of the season after Barrington won at Courtland Road last weekend with just over two overs to spare.
