Hello All members This years Club Dinner & Awards evening has been brought forward and will be held on Saturday 22nd September at The Cleve Hotel in Wellington arriving at 6.30pm for a meal, music and dancing. The committee are doing their best to make this a successful and enjoyable evening for everyone and would like all who are involved with our club to support and attend this formal event where we can all recognise the achievements of our club,
The third T20 game between a PPA XI and an XI selected by Club President Duncan Short takes place at WCC on Thursday 16th August from 5.00pm with play to begin at 5.30pm… All are welcome to this event…
Last weekend saw the sun shone once more and the Saturday (14th July) saw no less than three social events take place at Wellington CC as the Club thanked those who have sponsored it this season as they joined Life Members, Dignitaries and the Club’s Past Players Association for a splendid Lunch event and, later in the day, the PPA held it’s AGM for 2018 and then laid on an Evening Barbecue for all to enjoy. A special evening of cricket took place at Wellington CC on Thursday 10th August when a team representing the Club’s Past Players Association and a team selected by Club President Duncan Short took to the field of play in memory of Neil Fullstone, one of the Club’s best ever all-round players, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
