Wellington Cricket Club AGM 2020-2021_Financial Presentation

An extraordinary financial year where we have been able to achieve some of our investment plans for 2020 thanks to our small cash reserve and grants. Our plans for 2020 were to invest in a new 3 lane Net system, improve the bar facilities and purchase a large mower to help our groundsman with the preparation of our square. Regretfully in March due to COVID-19 and after we had successfully applied for planning permission Viridor declined and withdrew their £90k

Bridgwater and Albion 1 2 Wellington Reds

Galmington Reserves 3 2 Wellington Reds

Wellington Reds lost out for the first time in the Taunton and District Saturday League’s Division Three last time out when they took on Galmington Reserves at Castle School’s 3G facility and lost by the odd goal in five. The Reds were one nil down when the ball was sent to one of the home attackers following a poor clearance and it could have been worse for Connor Sellick’s team as a penalty was conceded, but Sam Wooster, back with

Porlock Reserves 2 4 Wellington Reds

Wellington Reds are sixth in Division Three of the Taunton and District Football League after this long trek to Porlock FC last Saturday to take on their Reserves and the winter sporting section of Wellington Cricket Club put a less than desired first half behind them to storm to a fine victory. The home side went ahead when captain Luke Vernon, in goal, parried a shot to a home side attacker who slotted home. Will Derrick got the equaliser with

Minehead Colts 4 4 Wellington Reds

Wellington Reds will be annoyed to have shipped a good three nil lead away to Minehead Colts in Division Three of the Taunton and District Saturday Football League last weekend to draw four all in the end in their second league game of the season, but the team, a section of Wellington Cricket Club, is still unbeaten overall. First half goals from Will Derrick (2) and Aaron Sellick gave the Reds a cool lead and the bar was struck too,
