Wembdon 5th XI 121 Wellington 122-1

The final Wellington Pre-Season XI for 2021 made a visit to Wembdon CC last Sunday to take on the home Club’s 5th string who play in the West Somerset League and came away with a fine nine wicket win under Alex Troake’s captaincy. Wellington’s penultimate pre-season game of 2021 saw the Red and Blacks take a trip to fellow WEPL Somerset Division side Minehead last Saturday and had a good game with the home side in plenty of sunshine. Lympsham and Belvedere 204-3 Wellington 199

A Wellington pre-season side travelled to Somerset League Division Two club Lympsham and Belvedere last Sunday and were involved in a great tussle with the home side who edged out the Red and Blacks by five runs in the last over. Wellington 277-6 Broadway and Horton 183-8

A Wellington CC pre-season XI made the trip to Somerset League Division Three club Broadway and Horton CC on Saturday last and came away with another excellent dose of pre-season action as everyone involved got into the game as the Red and Blacks secured a 94 run win after being asked to bat first. Tom Chambers and Neil Hendy opened matters for Wellington in excellent weather with a 40 run opening stand to which Chambers contributed 21 well made runs

Wellington took a visit to Taunton CC on Sunday and came away with a two wicket win in the last over as an entertaining game offered much in the Spring sunshine.
