Wellington 3rd XI found their form at Sampford Arundel CC last weekend when they recorded a hefty 149 run win over Huish and Langport 2nd XI in Division Seven Red of the Somerset League and so collected 35 very welcome points. Wellington were asked to bat first and saw James Brackenbury and Trevor Brooks add a classy 114 runs for the opening wicket in dominant style with Brackenbury making a capital 63 with two sixes before being first man out

Wellington 3rd XI took to the stage on Bank Holiday Sunday as they took on Ilton 2nd XI in a Somerset League Division Seven Red match, but the team suffered a disappointing five wicket defeat and collected ten points as a result. Wellington 3rd XI were met with a grey and windy proposition when they travelled to Stoke St Gregory in Division Seven Red of the Somerset League last weekend and were not able to capitalise on their opening day win as they went down by seven wickets collecting nine points for their efforts. Wellington 3rd XI, playing in the Somerset League’s Division Seven Red in 2021, made it a hat-trick of wins over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend when they saw off Taunton 3rd XI at Sampford Arundel CC by eight wickets.
