Fixture Secretary Steve Symons has prepared our Somerset League fixtures for 2012 and they can be found below this post; the salient points are that we start on Saturday 5th May with the 1st XI at home to North Petherton in Division One and the 2nd XI are away to Wembdon 2nd XI in Division Four. The league concludes on Saturday 1st September with the 1st XI at Temple Cloud in Division One and the 2nd XI home to Weston Super

Ivor Mitchell is the Club’s Federation of Sports Clubs Representative with immediate effect. Ivor will be the Club’s point of contact for all matters related to the Federation.
Thanks to all who assisted in this morning’s groundworks session that was a follow on to the work done back in September; activities like sarel rolling, lute flattening, seeding, fertilising and general housekeeping was performed by David Derrick, Simon Rudd, Richard Henwood, Adrian Lee, Simon Spalding, Marc Holloway, Dave Holloway, Paul Short, Rich Short, Nigel Davy, Ivor Mitchell, Mark Salter, Kevin Crout and young Ben! We are meeting at the Pavilion on Sunday 6th November at 10.30am to perform the second tranche of close season ground works; Simon Rudd will be leading this work and will send out details via e-mail by Thursday this week. Hot pork rolls will be on offer by the way!
WCC will host the site visit of the Clubs that are working on the planning and development of facilities at both Wellington Playing Field and Wellington Recreation Ground; we meet at WCC on Monday 7th November at 5.00pm with the Federation of Sports Clubs Architectural Adviser Steve Major.
