Patmore’s double in cup win

PLAYER-MANAGER Warren Patmore marked his first start for Wellington by scoring twice as they knocked premier division rivals Melksham out of the Les Phillips Cup yesterday.
The former Yeovil Town legend warmed up for a special match against his former club on Wednesday by producing a pair of trademark headers to help Wellington bounce back after two heavy defeats.
Midfielder Simon Ingram scored the third goal in the second half to wrap up the game.
Wellington are home to Yeovil Town’s first team in a special match to switch on their new £30,000 floodlights this Wednesday.
Admission is £5 adults and £3.50 for OAPs and children.
