Reserves dip out
WELLINGTON Reserves started their pre-season friendlies with a 2-1 defeat away to Somerset County League side Bishops Lydeard last night (Thursday).
Fielding a young side, Wellington went in at half-time leader 1-0 thanks to a goal from Matt Coleman.
But Lydeard scored twice after the break – both goals coming from striker Neil Gage, the brother of former Wellington first-team midfielder Shane.
Next friendly for the reserves is on Saturday, August 4th, when they are away to Combe Martin in North Devon.
