Leigh’s winning start
LEIGH Robinson had a winning start as manager of Wellington, as they defeated Taunton Blackbrook 3-2 on the artificial surface at Castle School on Saturday.
But they had to come from 2-0 behind as Blackbrook, recently promoted to the Premier Division of the Somerset County League, raced out of the blocks.
Alex Pounde headed them into the lead and Scott Graham’s volley doubled the advantage on 25 minutes.
Wellington looked brighter after the break and hit back to level with a Nick Woon double strike around the hour mark.
The winner arrived in the final ten minutes when skipper Simon Ingram netted from the penalty spot after a foul on Craig Mawford.
