Beaten by bottom club
WELLINGTON suffered a shock 2-0 defeat at home to bottom club Weston St Johns in the Toolstation League's division one.
Kevin Evans' side gave a disappointing display against the club he managed last season and could have no complaints about the final result.
The visitors went ahead after 32 minutes when Wellington allowed a cross to bounce in the area and Lee Ludwell headed past keeper Shaun Locke.
The home side thought they had equalised before the break when Craig Herrod got the ball into the net but his effort was ruled out for a foul.
And to rub salt into their wounds, St Johns added a killer second goal on the break through Ross McNab with six minutes remaining.
Wellington will be looking to bounce back from the defeat when they entertain Bradford Town at the Playing Field on Saturday (3.00).
