Wellington Sunday XI 250-4 Lynton and Lynmouth Sunday XI 207-7

A most pleasant day out at the magnificent Valley of the Rocks ground was enjoyed by Wellington Sunday XI who closed out the Club’s 2016 season with this 43 run win in front of a good number of supporters and the breathtaking views that this ground offers as Lynton and Lynmouth, from the North Devon League Division Three, hosted on a decent autumn afternoon. There may be a chance to play the game on Sunday 21st August depending on the progress of the Under 19s sides from both Clubs in their T20 Blast competition.

Wellington Sunday XI 248-8 Uphill Castle Sunday XI 121

Wellington Sunday XI saw runs flow in their friendly match at Somerset League Premier Division side Uphill Castle last weekend as some proper cricketing weather saw the side win by 127 runs. Arron Campbell chose to bat first and saw that he and Ben Evett added 30 opening wicket runs before Evett was out for 13. Mark Salter joined Campbell and he made a classy 28 with four fours and a six before he was run out at the bowler’s
