Wellington Sunday XI’s defence of the Taunton and District Sunday League title started at the Wyvern Club last weekend when the Red and Blacks fell to a five wicket defeat having posted a decent total. Wellington Sunday XI v North Petherton Sunday XI

Wellington’s Taunton and District Sunday League Division A season ended in a bit of an anti-climax when WEPL Somerset Division club North Petherton were unable to raise a side to play at Courtland Road last weekend. As a result Wellington received 20 points and Petherton were docked ten and Wellington are left to watch how Taunton St Andrews and Wembdon play out their seasons; points advantages of 28 over Wembdon and 38 over TSA exist with the previously named sides
