Club Mark 2018

As a Club it is vital for all Members to know that 2018 sees that we are required to undergo a complete re-assessment of our Club Mark registration as we have reached the three year threshold and so the current award expired on 31st December 2017.

To this end the Planning and Development Sub Committee of Simon Spalding, Ivor Mitchell and David Derrick will be managing the re-assessment process as a whole and, to this end, will be engaging with colleagues across the Club through the close and active seasons to set up a portfolio of paperwork and online documentation that shows that our Club is robust, fit for purpose and has the necessary and required processes, policies and procedures in hand so as to be able to be deliver the required clauses of the Club Mark award.

This award, which was once focused primarily on the youth player, still takes this to be a core value, but it has expanded its platform and now the game as a whole for all comers is the objective.

There is an outdoor element to the Award too and so ‘WCC in Action’ be a vital aspect of this work.

We have been able to show the Club Mark crest proudly since 2011 and wish to continue to do so; to this end ALL are asked to get involved and give of their time if asked to do so in the coming weeks and months.
