Wellington Sunday XI’s top of the table clash with fellow WEPL Somerset Division side North Petherton in Division A of the Taunton and District Sunday League was cancelled after a torrential downpour on the morning of the game flooded the playing surface and with further such weather continuing into the early part of the playing time there was no chance of play.

Each side took twelve points and despite this Wellington are still well placed to take the title in their last game of the season in this competition which is at WEPL Premier One club Bridgwater on Sunday 4th September.

At the time of writing it was not known if Bridgwater’s meeting with Taunton St Andrews in this competition on the same day had been weather affected as these two Clubs were set to meet in Bridgwater for the second time in 24 hours following their WEPL Premier One game on the Saturday.
