Wellington 2nd XI has won the Somerset League’s Division Six South title for 2021 and so will play at Division Five level in 2022 as the team’s stated aim for this season was completed at the last game and their rise back up the county league structure has commenced at the earliest opportunity. Wellington 2nd XI will feel that they have very nearly completed the job in terms of achieving promotion out of Division Six South of the Somerset League after they raced to victory at home to Broadway and Horton 2nd XI last weekend as Alex Troake’s team put the pedal to the metal to get the game done and dusted with before rain could intervene in their quest for victory and this proved to be a good call for the weather
