Wellington Cricket Club’s Annual General Meeting for 2020-2021 was held as a communication event via e-mail earlier this month due to the current protocols surrounding public gatherings.

The meeting saw a documentation package issued with comments and questions invited from all Club Members.

Club Administrator David Derrick reviewed 2020 by looking at the short season that had been possible from late July until mid September in which the Club had entered two senior teams into Saturday competition, the Sunday XI had played to its planned schedule but as non-league matches only and Junior teams at Under 11 and Under 13 ages had taken part in a series of games during August and September.

He thanked all those who had enabled cricket to take place in 2020 in both on and off the field capacities and looked forward to a more normal 2021 for both the Club and the Game as a whole.

The Club’s financial performance plus strategic and developmental plans were detailed in the financial report offered by Club Treasurer Trevor Brooks.
