Taunton 3rd XI 30-0 v Wellington 3rd XI
There was the least action on the day for Wellington 3rd XI of all of the Red and Blacks senior sides last Saturday as they got in just four overs of action in Division Seven Red of the Somerset League at Taunton Vale Sports Club before the players were driven off by lightning strikes that preceded thunder and voluminous amounts of rain.
In what play was possible McKay and Newman put on 30 runs to open up Taunton’s innings after they had won the toss and looked in good nick so to speak, but that was all that was possible for the fact that lightning was cracking all around and presented a danger to the players.
Cam Sentance and Tyler Fyfe took the new ball for Wellington and delivered two overs each.
