Sampford Arundel 109-3 Wellington 111-5

Wellington made it two Somerset Cricket Board Indoor League Division A wins for this winter season at Somerset CCC last Sunday evening when they won the local derby match with Sampford Arundel by one wicket with two balls to spare.

Sampford had been asked to bat first and were 54-2 when Henry Graydon was out for 17 caught and bowled by Ben Evett.

Richie Bellringer with 29 and Pete Kittow with 16 scored well in the last three overs of their side’s innings as their final total was 109-3 in 12 overs.

Ryan Adams was Wellington’s other wicket taking bowler.

Arron Campbell and Luke Desave got away well as they opened for Wellington with a 32 run effort which was ended when Desave was out for 24.

Ben Evett with 12 did good work, but the Wellington score dipped to 76-5 leaving Arron Campbell to try and guide his side home alone.

He achieved this by striking 66no despite Henry Graydon taking 3-29 in 2.4 overs and so the Red and Blacks had won with two balls to spare.

Next up for Wellington in this series of games is Broadway and Horton on Sunday 1st December from 7.05pm.
