Frome 203-4 Wellington 55
Frome made up for having lost at Wellington in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League back in May by rushing out the Red and Blacks in 17.1 overs for the same score that they had managed in this, the return match last weekend.
Wellington had started well with the ball as Frome lost their openers for just 11 runs, but a knock of 106no from S.Croker was the basis of the home side’s innings that lasted the full 50 overs, but did not ever exceed a run rate of more than four an over.
Lewis with 48 topped matters off for Frome as Luke Desave, Will Derrick and Jack Beal were sucessful with the ball for Wellington.
Frome are a cut above the other sides in this division and will be playing Premier Two Bristol and Somerset cricket next season and so they proved once more to be the best that this division can offer as R.Croker with 7-24 in 9 overs and Barton with 3-26 in 8.1 overs bowled clinically and accurately and with fine catching on offer too the game was up in under twenty overs with Luke Desave with 14 and Rob Moysey with 11no been the players who made double figures for Wellington.
