Wellington U11 Reds 342-2 Fitzhead U11 190-10

Wellington U11 Eeds had a profitable short journey when they visited Fitzhead on Sunday morning and finished up victors by a massive 152 runs.

Charlie Crossley and Oscar Milton strode out first for Wellington and began to get at the attack as 6 boundaries meant they added 45 runs in their 4 overs.

Charlie Young and Thomas Knell were next to the crease and although Fitzhead got their first wicket, another net 27 runs were added.

Jonah Richardson and George Davis continued the run fest and took the score one shy of 300 before the icing was added by Will Crossley and Thomas Gendall who added a further 7 x 4s and a Gendall maximum posted a daunting 342 at the turnaround.

The hosts found the task impossible as Crossley bagged 2 wickets and a further brace for Davis and fine catching particularly one from Knell meant a successful morning was completed, and they can look forward to a tougher game next week when second placed side Brompton Ralph will visit WPF on Sunday for a 10am start.
