Wellington 2nd XI are in eighth position in Division Five of the Somerset League after this nine wicket defeat away to Street 2nd XI last Saturday when a promising start was not developed.

Callum Hendy and Nathan Roberts added 22 first up for Wellington’s second string on their winning the toss and deciding to bat first before Hendy was out for 14.

Roberts continued to 21 and Ryan Adams, in charge on the day, made 14 as well as the score reached 54-1.

However from that point only Macaulay Campbell with 13 made it to double figures as Wellington were all out for 105 in 32.4 overs with Wall’s 4-16 in 7.4 overs been of good quality.

In their reply Street were rapid in chasing down the total they needed as Holland hit 36no, Hodges 29 and Miller 24no with Sam Wooster been the successful bowler for Wellington.
