Wellington’s eldest youth team are still looking for their first points, following an agonising last over defeat as near neighbours Staplegrove took the points back to Taunton.

Taking 1^st use the home side accumulated runs at a steady rate, as Jacob Hurry top scored with 30 adding to the 42 he scored for the U13’s on Friday evening.

Callum Hendy added 25no in a total of 103 for 3 in the allotted 20 overs.

A tight run chase followed, but Staplegrove just came out on top as they reached the target in the last over for a 6 wicket victory.

Wellington will look to get their season off and running, when they take on North Petherton, who have also found victories hard to come by.
