Wellington’s eldest youth team are still looking for their first points, following an agonising last over defeat as near neighbours Staplegrove took the points back to Taunton.
Taking 1st use the home side accumulated runs at a steady rate, as Jacob Hurry top scored with 30 adding to the 42 he scored for the U13’s on Friday evening.
Callum Hendy added 25no in a total of 103 for 3 in the allotted 20 overs.
A tight run chase followed, but Staplegrove just came out on top as they reached the target in the last over for a 6 wicket victory.
Wellington will look to get their season off and running, when they take on North Petherton, who have also found victories hard to come by.
