Wellington 77 Barrington 80-3
Wellington ended their Somerset Cricket Board Indoor League Division A campaign in mid table in the six team division following this three wicket loss to Barrington, who will play the Red and Blacks second team next summer, last Sunday evening.
Wellington were indebted to Arron Campbell for his knock of 30 as his colleagues found the going tough as Redwood with 3-11 did some real damage with the ball; thirty-six extras helped Wellington too.
French and Redwood with 13 and 18no respectively saw that they took no risks for their side as they would give themselves a chance of taking the title with a win and a favourable outcome from the Bridgwater v North Petherton game that would end the season and would be played after this game.
Ian Hewson with 1-15 in two overs and Arron Campbell with 1-14 in 2.1 overs were Wellington’s most successful performers with the ball and Will Derrick let just fifteen runs go in three overs and made for a run out too come to pass as Barrington got home with two overs to spare and with one game to go were top with Wellington in third place.
