Wellington Warriors started their participation in the Somerset Cricket Board’s Under 19s T20 Blast Finals Day for 2016 at Uphill Castle CC and Weston Super Mare CC with the opening Group D game and it was a powerful performance from the side.

Clevedon were asked to bat first and only their opener Keysell with 29 got going with the bat until he was run out by Lewis Sparks.

Only Hussey with 11 made double figures thereafter as Wellington turned the screw with the ball as Dom Drew took 1-9 and birthday boy Nick Crossing 2-2 to see Wellington needed 61 to win and Arron Campbell and Ben Howe wasted no time in getting there in just 3.5 overs as Howe crashed three sixes in a knock of 39no and Campbell two in his innings of 22no as the Red and Blacks took a decisive step towards making the latter stages of the day as they won by ten wickets.
