Wellington 158 Butleigh 159-4
Wellington and Butleigh are both in the drop zone in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League after this match, but it will be Butleigh who will be the happier of the two following their six wicket win at Wellington last weekend.
Wellington, who host Frome this coming weekend, really do need to win that one to get into the mid table region as they are 15 points away from safety.
Wellington were asked to bat first and saw Robin Davies and Arron Campbell give them a good start with a 25 run opening stand that was ended when Davies was bowled for 19; Campbell made 14.
Alex Sparks with 38 was in good form once more and closed in on a half century before he became one of nine wickets to fall to spin as left armer Bilsborough bowled him with the score at 92.
Zandre Swartz with 27 played a good hand, but only Dom Drew with 14no made it to double figures thereafter as the Red and Blacks lost eight wickets for 66 to be all out for 158 with over eleven overs left unused.
Bilsborough with 4-29 in ten overs and Drew with 5-48 in 8.5 overs had spun Butleigh to a good position at tea.
The visitors played well in their innings that spanned one ball less than forty overs and saw them collect twenty points as Durston with 49, Hicks with 22 and Woolway with 34no played well.
Spin did well for Wellington too as Dom Drew got through ten overs taking 1-39, Arron Campbell took 1-32 in ten overs and Sam Whitefield took 2-30 in eight overs, but the total on offer to Wellington was not of the size it needed to be given the good start they had had.
The visit of Frome this Saturday offers a chance to rise up the table for sure.
