Wellington v Taunton Outcasts
Wellington’s Somerset League Division One match with Taunton Outcasts was washed out without a ball being bowled on Saturday as heavy and persistent rain scuppered the Red and Blacks attempts to push up the table.
Both sets of players assembled and the ground had been prepared for the match, but the weather was never going to relent and the match was officially called off at 2.00pm with both sides taking twelve points.
The other four matches in the division saw wins for Ilton and North Petherton and draws in the other two matches.
Wellington are eighth going into this week’s long haul trip to Temple Cloud who are one place and five points better off than the Red and Blacks.
