Wellington 3rd XI dominated this Somerset League Division Seven Red game at North Petherton last weekend, but the rain got in the way as Richard Henwood’s side strived for victory; the loss of eight overs saw that Petherton’s second string had the chance to play for a draw and that is what they duly did. Wellington 3rd XI got a thirty four overs per side game last weekend in Division Seven Red of the Somerset League at Huish and Langport as they left home in teeming rain, but the climate was more conducive to cricket further east.
