Wellington are joint top of WEPL’s COVID Playing Bubble C with Minehead after a fine win over Premier One side Bridgwater 1st XI at home on a glorious Saturday afternoon as Arron Campbell’s side carried off the plaudits by 33 runs. The 1st XI hosts Bridgwater CC’s 1st XI in WEPL’s COVID Playing Bubble C on Saturday 8th August with a 12.30pm start… The 2nd XI travels to Curry Rivel CC to take on TICC Curry Rivel CC in the SCL’s Playing Bubble Eleven with a 1.30pm… We may use Sunday 9th August for the 2nd XI’s SCL Playing Bubble Eleven home game with Ilminster 4th XI; a match that would be brought forward from Saturday 5th September…

Wembdon 171-9 Wellington 172-5

Wellington scored a fine win at Wembdon last Saturday afternoon in the WEPL COVID Playing Bubble C as Arron Campbell’s team came away with a five wicket win with over two overs to spare after chasing down the 172 they needed to win and so collected two points. Wembdon chose to bat first and saw Puddy go at the ball hard and he did look very dangerous when he carted a huge six as part of 16 runs he took
