Wellington U15s Success

Congratulations to Wellington CC Under 15s following their victory in the Towergate Youth Cricket Cup on Tuesday night. In what was a closely fought game with Taunton Deane, Wellington started well as George Hooper and Patrick Jarman bowled tightly, conceding just 20 runs in their 8 overs. With a great knock of 49no from Sam Murdock, Wellington chased down 99 comfortably. A great team spirit and tight fielding by all was great to see.

Club shocked at missed opportunity

The club thanks those who turned up at the ground this afternoon/evening to help repair damage done to the outfield over the winter period. Much earth and sand was wheel barrowed, turf laid and watered. However, Club officials are said to have been shocked that despite food and drink being provided to those who attended, club secretary David Derrick was not present to claim his fish and chips.  It is believed to be a first for the town and can
