Wellington Reds are into the Quarter Finals of the Taunton and District Saturday Football League’s Seward Knockout Cup following this Second Round win over Norton Fitzwarren Firsts at Castle School in Taunton last Friday evening as Division Three triumphed over Division Two.

The Reds were always in the ascendancy one felt and went ahead when Tyler Fyfe’s excellent cross was sent home by Jack Bryant.

It was 1-0 to Connor Sellick’s charges at the break.

A wicked deflection drew Norton level as Luke Vernon could do little to stop a looping shot from evading his grasp.

Ashley Grist hit the post after a great solo piece of play and it was wondered if penalties would be needed to decide matters.

Jack Bryant’s second of the game settled the tie and a date is awaited for the next game in this series for the Reds who travel to Porlock in Pool E of the League’s Spring Competition tomorrow (Saturday 24th April) for a 2.30pm kick off.
