Broadway and Horton 108 Wellington 109-4
There is going to be an exciting final round of games in the Somerset CCC based Somerset Cricket Board Indoor League Division A after the top two sides, North Petherton and Bridgwater, tied their game after Wellington had pretty much secured third spot after their two wicket win over Broadway and Horton last Sunday evening.
Wellington face North Petherton on Sunday 15th December at 8.10pm with the title at stake with Bridgwater playing local rivals Wembdon at 6.00pm.
In this game Wellington bowled first once more and had seen Jack Beal take 3-27, Arron Campbell 1-18 and Ryan Adams 1-22 with Hosken’s 37 and Larkman’s 20 been the main contributions for B and H.
Wellington needed to score at 9 an over to win and Arron Campbell and Luke Desave gave the Red and Blacks another good start with Desave making 17 in a 42 run opening wicket stand.
Campbell made it to 25no once more and retirement to see that he was able to come back in.
Nathan Roberts with a composed 15no played well as he batted with Ryan Adams and Tyler Fyfe who both played well.
When Fyfe was out with the score at 88-4 skipper Campbell came back to the crease and played more good indoor cricket to make 37no and see his team home with an over to spare.
As said earlier Wellington will have a say in who wins the title this winter and who will go forward to represent Somerset in the National Indoor Club Championship after Christmas as only two points separate Petherton and Bridgwater.
