Wellington 3rd XI struggled with the bat when they entertained Long Sutton 2nd XI in Division Seven South of the Somerset League last weekend as Dave Luxton with 16 was the only double figure score.

Heywood with 5-20 bowled well and saw that Wellington’s third string were all out for 58 in 16.5 overs.

When Sutton were 5-2 after the first over of their reply with Richard Henwood on a hat-trick it was not going to be an easy chase for Sutton and with Andy Hurry taking a wicket too you never knew, but Miller with 19, Martin with 17 and Palmer with 10no saw their side over the line in the end with Alex Derbridge taking the other wicket to fall.
