Wellington 2nd XI’s re-scheduled Somerset League Division Four game with Huntspill and District that was postponed from earlier this month when the League allowed games set for Saturday 7th July to be given a new date ref England’s Football World Cup Quarter Final with Sweden if both sides agreed was cancelled last Sunday given the wet and windy weather that took place; both sides took twelve points and in this hottest of summers on the whole the ironic thing is that the two sides have not played each other at all given that the game at Huntspill was the opening game of the season and that was called off due to the lingering effects that the harsh end to last winter made for in respect of pitch preparation early season.
