Fitzhead U15s 35 Wellington U15s 39-0

Fitzhead brought an unbeaten record to the sunny playing fields on Sunday morning, but were routed by a rampant Wellington youth team in The Taunton and District Youth League.

Offered 1st use of the track, the visitors were soon in trouble as Callum Hamer bowled the opener and captain Ollie Beale got in on the act as he had the other opener caught by Callum Hendy.

Further wickets for Hamer and Beale left the opposition reeling on 17 for 6 at the end of the 6th.

T Hopwood for Fitzhead was the only batsman to reach double figures on 11 in a final total of 35 all out.

Hamer finished with 3 for 3 from his 3 overs and Beale 3 for 13.

Beale then stepped out with Hendy and made short work of the reply, cracking 6 boundaries in his 33 not out in only 11 scoring shots as the total was passed inside the 4th over.

The boys can’t wait for next Sunday to come as they travel to Huish and Langport – looking to reach the summit of the table.
