The Under 13s recorded a fine cup win over Bagborough when they defended their total of 63 by bowling out their visitors by 59 in the last over.

Bagborough had been cruising the game at 55-4 with three overs to go, so well done to all of Paul Rowlandson’s team and they can look forward to the next round.

Des Campbell’s team won two games in one day when they saw off Taunton St Andrews in a Taunton and District Youth League game this morning and then travelled to Bridgwater this afternoon for a Cup game and won that too.

In the game with TSA they hit 81 and then defended this total to win by around 25 runs and then having restricted Bridgwater to 99 we knocked off the runs in 17 overs.

All in all a good day’s work for the team.

The Under 13s are playing at home to Bagborough on Tuesday 22nd May in a KO Cup match.

This match is eleven a side and Team Manager Paul Rowlandson asks for all the squad to be present by 6.00pm at WCC.

The Under 15s have got a walkover against Burnham on Sea Under 15s in the Taunton and District Youth League’s Under 15s KO Cup as the seasiders are unable to raise a side.

The game was set for Thursday 17th May, but there will now be training as normal ahead of a regular league game on Sunday 20th May.

The Under 15s squad, family and friends are holding a Bavarian Oompah Night at Wellington Football Club on Saturday 26th May in aid of the end of season youth presentations.

Cost with supper is £10 for adults and £5 for juniors.

Rain got the better of the Under 11s once more when it claimed their home game with Over Stowey with the WCC pitch been too wet for preparation and play.

Chard CC has informed us that they have withdrawn their eight a side Under 13s side from the Taunton and District Youth League.

This means that Paul Rowlandson’s team has no game this coming weekend.

Their season will now start on Sunday 13th May.
