Following the Management Committee meeting held on Wednesday 29th September Steve Symons has been appointed as Fixture Secretary Designate with a view to assuming the role in a full capacity at the 2011 AGM.
 
To this end Steve will be working on all aspects of fixtures – obtaining fixtures as required and managing fixtures received for example – during the close season with current post holder David Derrick.
 
The rationale behind the move is to allow David to concentrate on his role as Club Secretary and the roles he has taken on this year that are external to the Club; such as those with the Somerset League, the Taunton and District Sunday League and the Baker Cup.
 
Everyone wishes Steve well as he settles into a new role and he can count on the support of all associated with the Club.
