Wellington Cricket Club

The First Round of this season’s Baker Cup will take place on Monday 11th May with a 6.15pm start.

The 1st XI’s opponents will be decided at the competition’s AGM that will take place at Taunton Deane C.C. on Tuesday 14th April.

A copy of the Club’s Membership form for the 2009 season has been sent out this morning. 

Recipients are asked to complete the form per the covering e-mail and bring the completed, signed form together with the appropriate fee to the Good Friday Ground Works session.

As you are aware Alec Short has taken on the job of sorting new Club kit (sweaters and caps) out for the 2009 season.

Alec has sent out a detailed e-mail to Club members giving the current situation.

The salient points are that the sleeveless sweaters are imminent and Alec hopes to give these out on Good Friday.

Two options exist for Club caps and the e-mail gives details of these – members are asked to consult Alec’s e-mail and to reply to him with their preferred option from the two stated.

The e-mail gives Alec’s mobile number and his e-mail address.

Time is short and he needs your reply to hand ASAP.

The Cottage Inn, Champford Lane, Wellington

A social evening to welcome our Overseas Player for 2009 – Rowan Varkevisser – will be held at The Cottage Inn, Champford Lane, Wellington from 8.00pm on Easter Sunday – Sunday 12th April.

All are welcome and are encouraged to attend to show Rowan what  a great bunch we are!

As a result of the most recent Management Committee meeting a clause relating to the Club’s stance on enhanced CRB checks has been inserted into the Club’s Policy Paper for the coming season and is available on request from the Secretary. The Policy Paper – in hard copy form – has been placed on the notice board in the Pavilion.
